Historical Cabinet Simulation

E-mail Print PDF

Director: Roxanne Calimeris

Event:

The Napoleonic Wars

As a series of wars fought against the French Empire, the Napoleonic Wars fought in the context of the DMUNC Cabinet Simulation will begin in the year 1799 with Napoleon’s seizure of power in France. Just as in the historical Napoleonic Wars, the simulation will be fought in a series of coalitions. However, exactly how these coalitions are to be fought will be decided by the cabinet simulation members in their respective roles. Cabinet simulation participants are expected to research not only their determined character, but also the political nature and culture of the country they represent. Although the real historical events of the Napoleonic Wars will be honored in some degree, the outcome of the wars is entirely dependent upon the wit and smarts of the cabinet simulation participants.
