Dear Advisors and Delegates,

It is my pleasure to invite you to our club’s annual Davis Model United Nations Conference.  This will be its 10th year running on the University of California, Davis.  This years’ conference will be held on May 19th-20th, 2012. The Conference Secretariat, Staff and I are committed to providing delegates with an eye-opening, educational, and memorable experience at DMUNC 2012.

This conference has always been one which welcomes experienced delegates, as well as those hoping to learn more about Model United Nations, and the world. Reguardless of experience, Delegates have always been bright and enthusiastic students who are eager to use their skills in diplomacy and debate to simulate United Nations committees and pass resolutions.

This year, we will be offering a diverse mix of committees to suit the differing interests and needs of delegates. From regional committees such as the Arab League and the European Union to agencies such as the World Health Organization, these committees will allow delegates to explore a variety of current events and international issues affecting the political climate of the world today. Two specialized committees which we will be hosting this year include the Historical Cabinet Simulation and the International Court of Justice.  As always, several our committees will include thought-provoking crises.

Thank you for expressing interest in our conference and what we hope will be an unforgettable DMUNC experience for all delegates. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to your participation in our conference.

Best Regards,

Kirstin Turney

Secretary General
